Senior Data Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role involves creating a brand new greenfield data platform in Databricks on Azure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Migrate legacy data processes and models into a modern lakehouse architecture.
  • Collaborate with a team of data engineers to upgrade and enhance the existing data platform.
  • Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support knowledge transfer and documentation within the team.
Requirements:
  • Commercial experience using Databricks.
  • Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Solid background in Python and SQL for data engineering.
  • Experience building data pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure).
  • Familiarity with Delta Lake, data governance, and platform architecture.
  • Prior experience working in regulated industries, preferably financial services or superannuation.

This is a mid-senior level position offering a 12-month maximum term contract. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in data engineering.
