Lead the Australian Nuclear Submarine Program

Australia's acquisition of conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines marks a historic and transformational undertaking. This significant program presents an exciting opportunity for dedicated leaders to drive the Australian Nuclear Submarine Program forward.

Your Role in Program Success

The Program Costing branch head oversees a team of cost experts responsible for delivering:

  • Cost estimation services that ensure estimates align with Defence Policy.
  • Agency financial cost strategy and policy for the NPS program.
  • Strategic program cost advice to support funding submissions.

Reporting to the ASA Chief Financial Officer, you will work in partnership with internal delivery teams and external stakeholders to address program-costing requirements, manage financial risk, and build a resilient ASA financial position.

Key aspects of this role include leading a team of cost experts, ensuring accurate cost estimation, developing agency financial cost strategies, and providing strategic program cost advice. As a leader, you will be instrumental in driving the success of the Australian Nuclear Submarine Program.
