About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Care Service Employee to join our team at The Salvation Army Aged Care. As a Care Service Employee, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our residents. You will be responsible for providing personal care and assistance to meet individual needs, building strong relationships with our residents, and maintaining a homely and loving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the privacy and dignity of residents is maintained at all times and that all personal interactions reflect respect and compassion.
  • Assist in managing medication using medication compliance aids.
  • Recognise and respond to changes in the condition of residents' health and well-being.
  • Complete simple wound dressings.
  • Implement continence programs.
  • Attend to routine checks, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and blood sugar.
  • Assist in managing residents with diabetes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation throughout each shift.
  • Assist in the development of resident care plans.

About You

We are looking for candidates with a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care and current First Aid Certificate. You should have experience assisting with medication, an understanding and commitment to person-centred care, and computer literacy and experience with documentation. You will also be able to work in a team environment and have a commitment to continuous improvement.
