Mining Consultant Role

Our organization seeks an experienced short-term mine planning expert to support our growing global client base.

The Mining Consultant will collaborate with specialists in mine scheduling and design to deliver a world-class software solution.

This role is part of our global consulting team, delivering mine scheduling software implementation projects.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of mining engineering, mine design, planning, simulation, and scheduling.

We require a Production Engineer or Short-Term Mine Planner with practical site operational experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scope, implement, and configure software for clients with a focus on short-term mine planning products.
  • Provide training, support, and client liaison for existing clients.
  • Assist with the provision of general software consulting services as required.
  • Identify new clients for both software and consulting services.
  • Maintain high level of customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Assist the business development team in promoting the use of software to potential clients.
About You

You will have:

  • Primary experience in mine planning with a minimum of 3-5 years operational short-term planning experience.
  • A working knowledge of mine design, planning, and scheduling techniques.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building and management skills in complex business environments.
  • Ability to travel regularly.
  • Legally entitled to work in Australia and based in Perth.
Highly Regarded Qualifications And Experience
  • Extensive knowledge of mine planning/scheduling and design packages available in the market.
  • Site-based experience in the short-term planning space.
  • Experience in software and implementation consulting.
  • Understanding of operational data systems used on site.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and contributing to capturing, analyzing, and providing guidance around on-site operational data.
