Job Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative educator to join our English team.

The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of the Western Australian Curriculum and be committed to developing and extending students' literacy, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2025, at Safety Bay Senior High School (SHS).


About the Role

The role involves planning, teaching, and delivering engaging lessons to classes in both Lower and Senior School.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and deliver engaging lessons to classes in both Lower and Senior School.
  • Create and design face-to-face lessons with clear learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Evaluate and monitor student learning and course progress.
  • Create an interactive and positive learning environment for students.

Eligibility
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting.
  • Obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
