Job Description:
A visionary Academic Head is required to lead a dynamic academic community in delivering excellence in education, research, and clinical practice. Based at our state-of-the-art clinical teaching facilities in Townsville or Cairns, you will oversee strategic leadership and academic direction for nursing and midwifery programs, drive innovation in curriculum design, teaching, and research, mentor and support academic staff and students, build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, industry, and community organisations, and champion outcomes that improve healthcare in regional, rural, and remote communities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
You are a passionate clinician and academic leader with a postgraduate qualification and current registration as a Nurse (Division 1) and/or Midwife with relevant professional bodies. Proven academic leadership in teaching, research, and service is essential. A commitment to excellence in nursing and midwifery education, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to mentor others and foster innovation are also required.
