Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead our finance team and drive strategic financial decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and business, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial guidance and oversight of all financial management, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Take charge of financial operations in multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and optimising financial processes for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute insights and financial expertise in strategic decision-making processes.
  • Implement robust risk management strategies, identifying and mitigating financial risks to safeguard the company's financial health.
  • Develop and present comprehensive financial reports, conducting analysis to provide actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, overseeing the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating financial insights and fostering a transparent and collaborative financial environment.
  • Explore and implement technological solutions to streamline financial processes and enhance the overall effectiveness of the finance function.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA/CA qualification is a must.
  • Australian PR or Citizen only.
  • Minimum of 8 years of Australia local progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a manager or leadership position such as Finance Manager, FC or Director of Finance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial operations in a global context, navigating diverse regulatory environments and cultural considerations.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, with a track record of effective team management and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy and make informed financial decisions.
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English, with exceptional communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
