Job Overview

The role of a Leading Hand Service Crew involves coordinating and leading a team of service crew members to complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs in various mining areas and infrastructure.

This position requires strong leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and practical troubleshooting skills to ensure work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed efficiently
  • Provide on-the-job guidance and training to less experienced team members to develop their skills
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, recommend solutions, and liaise with stakeholders
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant procedures

Safety Considerations:

As a Leading Hand Service Crew, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures. This includes identifying hazards, reporting incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 18 months of service crew experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
  • Minimum 3 years of underground mining experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Current manual C Class Driver's Licence
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Working at Heights certification
  • Current Police Clearance
