Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled mental health professional to join our team as a Private Practitioner at headspace Bentleigh, Elsternwick or Syndal. As a Private Practitioner, you will provide counselling services to young people aged 12-25 under a Mental Health Care Plan through Medicare-funded items.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality counselling services to young people with mental health concerns
- Work collaboratively with the Access team to allocate referrals and schedule appointments
- Operate as a session-based Private Practitioner, setting your own hours
- Be contracted as a private practitioner with Alfred Health, operating from the headspace Centre
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and registration (AHPRA or AASW)
- Provider number for bulk-billing to Medicare
- Indemnity insurance to the value of $10 million
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Current working rights visa
- Satisfactory completion of a Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Be part of an innovative youth mental health program making a real difference in the community
- No fee charges for room or reception, receiving 100% of the Medicare Billing, and where clients can afford it, a full fee payment $35 above the Medicare rebate amount
