Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our Property Services Department at St George Christian School. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the school's grounds, gardens, and lawns to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of Grounds: You will be responsible for the practical maintenance of existing gardens, lawns, and grounds, including pruning, weeding, and fertilizing.
  • Assistance with Property Maintenance: You will assist the Property Manager and Property Team with various general property maintenance duties, including repairs and maintenance of school facilities.
  • Equipment Operation: You will be required to operate standard maintenance machinery, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other equipment.
  • Plant Identification: You will have a sound knowledge of plant and weed identification, and be able to provide advice on plant care and maintenance.
  • Chemical and Fertilizer Application: You will have accreditation and experience with chemical and fertilizer application, or be willing to undertake accreditation.
  • Physical Demands: You will need to have the necessary energy, fitness, and coordination to participate in practical work.
  • Christian Role Model: You will be a positive Christian role model for young people, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to the Christian ethos of St George Christian School.
