Job Summary

Yourtown is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our team. As a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of grounds maintenance staff in the upkeep and maintenance of our grounds and gardens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff in the upkeep and maintenance of our grounds and gardens.
  • Perform a wide range of grounds and garden maintenance tasks, including mowing, mulching, weeding, and soft landscaping.
  • Manage, mentor, and train a group of young trainees in grounds maintenance skills.
  • Ensure contract specifications and scheduling requirements are being met.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Promote a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture and ensure active compliance.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years grounds/garden maintenance experience.
  • Recognised industry/trade qualification (preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WHS requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships with our trainees and customers.
  • Current white card and first aid certificate or ability to obtain.
