The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated Senior Estimator with expertise in both conceptual and detailed estimating to join our team. KBR is at the forefront of delivering significant long-term programs and projects across Australia, particularly in the water utility sector. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of Engineers, Capital Estimators, Analysts, and Program Intelligence professionals, providing essential services throughout the project lifecycle.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a series of construction projects that span several years, making it ideal for a well-rounded Senior Estimator looking to advance their career.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess substantial experience in conceptual and detailed estimating, ideally within the water, pipeline, or treatment plant sectors. Experience with oil and gas pipelines will also be considered. As the project is in the pre-construction phase, familiarity with this area will be advantageous.
Key qualifications include:
- Ability to independently develop conceptual estimates from engineering materials (AACE Class 5, 4, and 3)
- Experience in leading and mentoring junior estimators
- Coordination of activities between clients and stakeholders
- Understanding of KBR's cost assurance processes and frameworks
- Development of estimating and assurance frameworks and guidelines
- Collaboration with clients and partners to enhance existing business processes
