About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist Grade 2 to join our team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, working within Polio Services Victoria. The successful candidate will provide assessment and treatment for patients referred to our service, as well as deliver education to clients and health professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, focusing on patient-centered care. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for:

  • Providing assessment and treatment for patients with polio-related conditions
  • Delivering education to clients and health professionals on polio management and prevention
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physiotherapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and treating patients with polio-related conditions
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Providing education and support to clients and their families
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Physiotherapy or other relevant degree
  • Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration as a physiotherapist
  • Current National criminal history check
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
