Help Older People Live Independently as a Therapist
1 day ago
We are seeking a skilled Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to older people. As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their independence, mobility, and overall well-being.
- Mobility and functional assessments are crucial for identifying areas where individuals may need additional support or rehabilitation. This involves conducting thorough evaluations of an individual's physical capabilities, including their strength, flexibility, and balance.
- Restorative therapy is a key component of our approach, focusing on helping individuals regain lost functions and abilities. This may involve various exercises, techniques, and interventions aimed at promoting healing and restoration.
- Falls prevention is a critical aspect of our work, as falls can have serious consequences for older people. By implementing strategies to reduce the risk of falls, we aim to promote safety and prevent injuries.
- Pressure care is essential for preventing pressure ulcers, which can be debilitating and painful for older individuals. Our team works closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that individuals receive the necessary care and attention to prevent these types of injuries.
- Pain management is another priority area, as chronic pain can significantly impact an individual's quality of life. We strive to provide effective pain management strategies, working closely with medical professionals to develop personalized plans.
- Active ageing group programs are designed to promote social interaction, engagement, and community participation among older individuals. These programs foster a sense of belonging, purpose, and fulfillment, which are essential for maintaining good mental and emotional health.
We value the contributions of our therapists and offer ongoing mentoring, professional development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements to support their growth and success.
Requirements- A qualified Physiotherapist with current registration (AHPRA).
- A strong commitment to reablement and restoring independence in the lives of older people.
- Australian working rights.
