Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Educational Specialist - EAL/D and Bilingual Education to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering professional learning opportunities that cater to the needs of school principals, teachers, and support staff working with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing and implementing pedagogical training programs for teachers to enhance their skills in teaching EAL/D students.
  • Provide support and guidance to teachers on aligning their planning, programming, and assessment strategies with the Australian Curriculum and other relevant frameworks.
  • Collaborate with educators to develop and deliver professional development sessions on topics related to EAL/D and bilingual education.
  • Support teachers in interpreting and responding to student data to improve language, literacy, and learning outcomes across the curriculum.
Requirements
  • Pedagogical experience in EAL/D - language and literacy acquisition is essential.
  • Demonstrated high level organisational, analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment.
