About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Care Specialists, providing top-notch support to elderly and vulnerable residents in a dynamic and nurturing environment.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist with day-to-day care, ensuring residents feel valued, respected, and supported in their daily activities. You'll work closely with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care and contribute to maintaining a positive and safe environment within our Residential Care Home.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Observing and reporting on residents' general health and wellbeing.
  • Assisting in the completion of routine documentation and risk assessments.
  • Supporting residents with diversional therapy, ensuring engagement in individual or group activities.
  • Providing compassionate and respectful care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • AQF Certificate III in a relevant field (such as Aged Care or Individual Support).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in sensitive situations.
  • A team player who is willing to collaborate with colleagues and provide assistance where needed.
  • Previous experience in a direct care role, ideally in aged care or working with frail or disabled persons.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages (e.g., Word, Excel) for documentation purposes.
  • Proven ability to use initiative and judgment when performing day-to-day tasks.
