Exciting Opportunity in Data Modelling

We are seeking a skilled Data Modeller to join our team in Canberra, supporting the development of data architecture and business intelligence capabilities within a leading Federal Government department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and enhancing data models aligned with data warehouse principles, using ER Studio or similar tools.
  • Collaborating with business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure the accuracy of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Providing expert SQL-based data analysis and addressing complex data issues.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to identify data gaps, establish data governance, and implement data quality controls.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of data modelling experience, including dimensional and 3NF modelling.
  • Strong proficiency in data warehouse development and business intelligence solutions.
  • Expertise with SQL and data modelling tools such as ER Studio, Sparx EA, or Erwin.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Baseline security clearance is mandatory.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic team in the federal government sector. The successful Data Modeller will be offered a 12-month contract with the possibility of two 12-month extensions.
