Citic Pacific Mining is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Advisor to join our site-based team on a permanent 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

In this role, you will provide essential support and advice to operational departments and contractors at our Sino Iron operation, located at Cape Preston. You will help drive the implementation and continuous improvement of our Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure we meet our organisational objectives.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing environmental compliance obligations and risks
  • Facilitating environmental management processes
  • Designing and implementing monitoring programs
  • Supporting corporate level liaison with government regulators on permitting, licensing and compliance matters

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental management, environmental science, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience managing environmental projects within the resource sector
  • Strong knowledge of WA environmental legislation and management systems
  • Experience with rehabilitation and environmental databases (experience with EnviroSys will be highly regarded)
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate environmental issues and coordinate environmental projects
  • A valid manual driver's licence

About Citic Pacific Mining

Sino Iron is the largest magnetite mining and downstream processing operation in Australia, located 100km Southwest of Karratha in the mining hub of the Pilbara.

Our fully integrated operation features an open pit mine serviced by some of the biggest haul trucks in the world, a six-line concentrator and port terminal facilities at nearby Cape Preston. We are spearheading a new downstream processing industry for the nation, transforming magnetite iron ore into a high-grade, premium export product.
