A nurturing and experienced nanny is sought after to care for a 2-year-old boy each weekday afternoon in Balmain, NSW.

Job Overview:

This long-term position involves supporting the child's emotional intelligence, independence, and calm connection.

About You:

  • You are gentle and child-focused, able to follow the child's cues and interests.
  • You are calm and intuitive, not into strong discipline but understand boundaries.
  • You have experience with toddlers.
  • You are happy to cook and do light household support.
  • You are comfortable with cats (the family have 2, no pet care needed).
Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Picking up the child from daycare at 3:00 pm (10-15 minute walk)
  • Supporting relaxed, child-led play and interaction at home
  • Preparing and serving dinner for the child
  • Evening wind-down: bath, storytime, bedtime routine
  • Light housework: tidying, grocery shopping, and kitchen organisation

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a nanny or working in childcare
  • Childcare qualifications preferred
  • Toddler Experience
  • A current first aid certificate
  • A current Working With Children's Check
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • A non-smoker
