About the Role
As a key player in shaping our region's major event landscape, we are seeking a strategic and driven events professional to help us deliver a successful events strategy. This role is central to identifying, attracting, and servicing major events staged on our Sunshine Coast destination, with the goal of maximising economic, promotional, and social benefits for our community.

This position will involve managing all stages of the event sponsorship lifecycle, from initial discussions through to contracting, leveraging, execution, and acquittal. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader strategic goals and community values.

The ideal candidate will have valuable insight, knowledge, and experience within the tourism and events industries, with a strong ability to manage large portfolios of events. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A key aspect of this role will be your ability to think strategically to achieve best practice outcomes. As part of our Tourism and Events team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of projects designed to increase our region's recognition as a premier destination for major events.
