Structural Engineering Leadership

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the delivery of major permanent and temporary works structures.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position offering a balance of hands-on technical design, project management, and stakeholder engagement. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading structural design and delivery across bridges, transport infrastructure and temporary works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead structural design and delivery, collaborating closely with contractors during tender, construction and delivery phases.
  • Provide technical oversight and peer reviews on design deliverables.
  • Manage client relationships, technical reports, and project presentations.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting technical excellence across the team.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and client specifications.
  • Support business development, tenders, and proposals for major infrastructure works.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Chartered CPEng preferred).
  • 10+ years' experience in structural engineering with a focus on civil infrastructure & temporary works.
  • Demonstrated expertise in bridge design, shoring, staging, or other construction engineering methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SpaceGass, Strand7, MIDAS, or equivalent software.
  • Strong ability to liaise with contractors, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven leadership in mentoring engineers and managing project teams.
