Data Center Regional Electrical Engineer, Field Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Regional Electrical Engineer, Field Engineering Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and operating our global data centers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Equipment Submittal Review: Perform design and equipment submittal review for new data centers in your region.
- Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
- Operational Support: Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
- Data Center Upgrades: Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
- Engineering Audits: Initiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits within Amazon's data centers.
- Reporting and Documentation: Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation.
- Resident Engineer: Act as resident engineer during new construction projects.
- Support and Training: Support construction, commissioning, and turnover, and provide ad-hoc training as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3+ cumulative years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities, including data centers, power generation, oil/gas facilities.
- Skills: Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers. Understanding of both mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data centers. Registered Professional Engineer or Advanced degree in engineering, business, or related field.
