About This Role

We seek a qualified Civil Engineering Draftsperson to support our team on various civil and construction projects. The ideal candidate will produce technical drawings, site layouts, and documentation that align with engineering specifications and project goals.

This role requires hands-on experience with design software, a strong understanding of Australian drafting standards, and effective collaboration with engineers and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  2. Convert sketches and specifications into accurate technical drawings for construction.
  3. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data.
  4. Collaborate with engineers and site supervisors to incorporate changes and resolve design conflicts.
  5. Ensure plans comply with Australian standards, codes, and local council regulations.
  6. Maintain and update design files and documentation as projects develop.
  7. Support project delivery schedules by maintaining drafting timelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Drafting or a related qualification.
  • At least 1 year of drafting experience, preferably in civil/construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of civil infrastructure elements such as drainage, roads, kerbing, and earthworks.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
