Project Lead Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic Project IPT Lead to join our team and take on the challenge of implementing next-generation system upgrades across multiple RAAF sites.

This program aims to ensure seamless air traffic control capabilities for both military and civilian operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical planning and implementation of major system upgrades, including development of technical specifications, interface requirements, and integration strategies.
  • Direct the development and implementation of security accreditation artifacts, ensuring compliance with defence certification requirements.
  • Guide complex system integration activities, including hardware modifications and interface management.
  • Oversee verification testing, site surveys, and transition planning across multiple RAAF locations.
  • Lead integrated project teams including technical personnel and logistics support functions, ensuring coordination between engineering implementation and supportability requirements.
  • Manage technical relationships with key subcontractors ensuring effective integration of their COTS solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in technical leadership roles managing complex system integration projects.
  • Proven ability to analyse and solve difficult problems involving multiple variables across various functions and specialties.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience in external customer and vendor relationships.
  • Experience in developing and executing operational plans with measurable contributions to functional outcomes, including integrated logistics support activities.
