Lead Environmental Specialist

This is a challenging role for an experienced Lead Environmental Specialist to oversee complex environmental and hazardous materials projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contaminated land: Conduct thorough site investigations, remediation, and risk assessments
  • Hazardous materials: Perform asbestos surveys, develop management plans, monitor, and conduct clearance inspections
  • On-site leadership: Supervise asbestos removal and remediation works
  • Reporting & advice: Prepare technical reports, scopes of work, and expert recommendations
  • Client engagement: Manage relationships and ensure projects run to scope, timeline, and deliverables
Requirements:
  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, or related field
  • Current Asbestos Assessor's Licence (NSW)
  • 3–5+ years' consulting experience in environmental or hazardous materials
