Job Title: Team Leader

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team in Perth for a full-time ongoing role.

This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring positive outcomes for the children and young people in our program and providing leadership to a service that prioritizes the needs of vulnerable children, young people and their caregivers.

About the Role

The Team Leader is responsible for providing effective support and supervision to a team of professionals in the Out of Home Care (OOHC) program. They will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to promote the therapeutic needs of children and young people.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance, training, and strategic advice to carers and staff working with children and young people in out of home care.
  • Specialist assessment and review of children's needs in out of home care placements.
  • Development of effective service system responses that meet the therapeutic needs of vulnerable children in Western Australia.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for implementing quality assurance measures to ensure program performance remains high-quality and reflective of best practice in therapeutic care.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role in the OOHC sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma, attachment, and neurobiology frameworks and theories.
  • Expertise in using contemporary youth engagement methodologies to support positive behavior change for young people with complex needs.
