Food Preparation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to prepare meals, manage kitchen operations and maintain cleanliness in our Ingham facility.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision and creativity;
- Maintain kitchen area, equipment, appliances, utensils and fixtures in accordance with standard cleaning and infection control processes;
- Record key kitchen and stock data for accurate inventory management;
- Liaise with suppliers and the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations;
- Contribute ideas for menu development and special events.
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes, food hygiene control and cleaning chemicals used in a kitchen;
- Minimum one-year experience as a commercial cook, working in a hygiene-controlled environment;
- Prior experience within the Aged Care industry will be highly regarded;
- Solid understanding of food safety legislation, texture modification and special needs diets.
