Job Opportunity:

A meaningful difference awaits an experienced Cook to join our team in a reputable establishment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision and creativity
  • Clean and maintain kitchen area, equipment, appliances, utensils and fixtures in accordance with standard cleaning and infection control processes
  • Undertake basic record keeping of key kitchen and stock data
  • Liaise with the supervisor and/or suppliers in relation to stock ordering and control
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and special events
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes, food hygiene control and cleaning chemicals used in a kitchen
  • Minimum one-year experience as a commercial cook, working in a hygiene-controlled environment
  • Experience working within the Aged Care industry will be highly regarded
  • Solid understanding of food safety legislation, texture modification and special needs diets
