Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Project Lead to support key upgrades and maintenance projects across our Victorian assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project scope plans for mechanical scopes, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Lead technical planning, execution, and quality control for fixed and rotating equipment
  • Drive compliance with regulatory standards, internal systems, and industry best practices
  • Investigate equipment failures, develop strategies to prevent recurrence, and implement corrective actions
  • Support inspections, shutdowns, repairs, and upgrades through technical expertise and project management
  • Contribute to procurement decisions, manage contractor deliverables, and develop technical specifications
  • Maintain strong relationships with operations, maintenance, and external stakeholders, driving collaboration and shared goals
About You
  • Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with significant project experience in the oil and gas or similar industry
  • 8+ years of experience in oil & gas, energy, or heavy industry, with a focus on mechanical engineering and project management
  • RPEV registered (Mechanical) with excellent knowledge of pressure equipment, piping systems, and rotating machinery
  • Familiarity with API, ASME, and Australian standards, with experience in design, execution, and QA/QC inspection
  • Strong communicator with a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to site regularly, with flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
