We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to lead our Health and Community Centre of Excellence. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing the Health portfolio and implementing practices to ensure high-quality program content and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partnership Development: Foster and enhance strategic relationships with industry partners, educational institutions, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strategic Representation: Engage with senior professionals within industry partners and other health services facilities, and participate in statewide and national networks to represent our organization.
  • KPI and P&L Management: Oversee performance across three regional campuses, drive strategy and innovation in service delivery, manage financial outcomes, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to standards set by ANMAC, ASQA, and HESG, and work with the Education Solutions team to maintain program accreditation and comply with legislation and governance requirements.
  • Program Development and Innovation: Advise on the product portfolio and market strategy, collaborate with the Education Solutions team and external providers to design and develop programs that enhance quality and outcomes for students.
  • Operational Planning and Customer Satisfaction: Develop and implement operational plans that align with strategic goals, work closely with the Learner Experience and Operations Support teams, and address learner and stakeholder issues.
  • Business Development Support: Manage client relationships and liaise with the Commercial team to identify and pursue business development opportunities, and support the expansion of industry delivery and tendering arrangements.
Competencies Required
  • Behavioural: Advanced skills in building capability, commercial acumen, customer and partnership focus, collaboration, change leadership, performance management, proactivity, and accountability.
  • Technical: Advanced experience in managing services, mentoring educators, project management, and recognized expertise in the industry or area of specialization.
Application Requirements
  • Qualifications: Relevant degree in business, management, or a learning-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Demonstrated success in managing health services, developing industry partnerships, and achieving strategic goals.
