Job Description:

The midwife care specialist provides high-quality midwifery care to patients at a large hospital and health service. This involves coordinating and delivering comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides expert midwifery care to patients throughout their pregnancy journey
  • Works closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and colleagues
  • Applies professional and ethical boundaries in complex situations
Requirements:
  • CURRENT registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety, and quality principles
  • Demonstrated recent post-registration midwifery experience
