Procurement Opportunities

The procurement function is critical to the success of our projects, and we are seeking a seasoned professional to lead this effort.

This role requires an autonomous and pragmatic individual with experience working in a matrixed environment, engaging with multiple stakeholders, and managing multiple projects and tasks.

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support project delivery.
  • Identify and develop new suppliers and contractors to enhance price, delivery, and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external specialists to arrange technical specifications, scope of works, and performance requirements into procurement agreements.
  • Support the tendering team and effectively manage obtaining proposals from suppliers and subcontractors to meet tender timeframes and key deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain the procurement plan and equipment delivery schedule.
  • Negotiate procurement agreements and contracts to secure products and services for the balance of plant.
  • Support contract execution and ensure adherence to project timelines through effective term negotiations.
  • Maintain robust record-keeping throughout procurement planning, tender, and contract execution lifecycles.
  • Manage vendor selection and appointment in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure that equipment deliveries and services meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate with global supply chain partners to meet equipment delivery requirements.
  • Work with construction and operational services teams to manage local logistics concerning storage and movement of inventory, tools, and equipment between warehousing and site locations.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise and develop relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interact in a multicultural environment and work under pressure.
  • Natural curiosity and problem-solving skills to adapt procurement strategies to market changes.
  • At least 7 years of procurement experience in the power generation or renewable energy industry.
  • Ability to design and monitor a supply chain risk framework.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate employee safety and accountability behaviors.
  • Effective time management and deadline prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail in performing all aspects of the role.
  • Demonstrable ability to work in a high-performance team within a matrixed organization.
  • Ability for occasional travel internationally and domestically.
  • Strong command of English.
  • Tertiary qualification with postgraduate studies in engineering, business, or law.
