Job Overview:
">We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring timely and accurate check-in and check-out processes, and facilitating seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Answer and direct all incoming phone calls in a prompt and professional manner, ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate information.
">Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently, verifying demographics and insurance information as needed.
">Update patient records and maintain accurate and up-to-date files.
">Obtain and enter patient insurance information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
">Schedule patients according to clinic protocol and guidelines, ensuring efficient use of resources.
">Prepare charts and encounter tickets prior to patient visits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
">Confirm appointments and document responses in the electronic medical record (EMR).
">Receive and upload laboratory, imaging, and other procedural results into the patient's e-chart.
">Collect outstanding balances, co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles, ensuring timely payment processing.
">Reconcile cash drawer according to hospital business office guidelines, maintaining accurate financial records.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; education and/or training related to the healthcare field preferred.
">At least one year of experience in a healthcare-related field, preferably in a medical practice or office setting.
">Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
">Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
