Job Description

This role involves working closely with a senior project manager to deliver an electronic medication management system at New Footscray Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expertise on pharmacy workflows and supporting ADS system design decisions through information gathering.

The position requires a qualified pharmacist, ideally with medication safety experience. They will participate in an organization-wide project to implement Automated Medication Dispensing cabinets at Western Health.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing expertise on Pharmacy workflows
  • Supporting ADS system design decisions through information gathering
  • Reviewing current workflows
  • Creating and validating future workflows
  • Assisting with testing
  • Evaluating workflow changes
  • Developing and conducting training and change management activities
  • Commissioning cabinets and other operational readiness tasks
  • Communicating effectively with clinicians
Required Skills and Qualifications

This is a fixed-term, full-time position until 31st October 2025, primarily based at Footscray Hospital. Western Health is committed to child safety and requires background checks including Police Record, Immunisation, and Working with Children Checks where applicable.
