The Role

We are seeking a skilled Credit Consultant to join our team at Driva. The Credit team coordinates and facilitates credit applications from under review through to pre-approval, building key relationships with lenders and utilizing strong analytical skills to review credit policies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Loan Assessment: Review and assess a large volume of pre-qualified loan applications against multiple lender's credit policies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal company policies.
  2. Document Review: Analyze and validate supporting documents provided by customers, leveraging Driva's AI technology to streamline the process.
  3. Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence in accordance with credit policies and procedures to ensure loan matches customer needs and supporting documentation meets credit policy requirements.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to progress applications through to completion, including handover to our Settlements Team to finalize applications.
  5. External Stakeholder Engagement: Develop key working relationships with lenders to finalize approvals and increase conversion from lodgement to approval.
  6. Compliance Adherence: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal company policies in relation to documentation, fact finds, and preliminary assessments.
  7. Professional Development: Continuously update knowledge on products, technologies, credit policies, and regulatory changes impacting loans.

Requirements

  1. Previous experience (ideally 2+ years) in Asset Finance, with a strong understanding of financial services and regulatory requirements.
  2. Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking, with a focus on credit risk management and compliance.
  3. Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  5. Passion for the industry and a strong desire to help customers achieve their financial goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, or Finance, with a focus on credit risk management and financial analysis.
  2. Experience in fintech or within another startup, with a strong understanding of innovative technologies and business models.
