Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in Nowra, NSW. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals to provide occupational rehabilitation services and support individuals in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client caseloads and provide individualized support to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Collaborate with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Work with medical and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive assessments and support treatment plans;
  • Assist clients in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes through various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
  • Complete assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology registered with AHPRA or ESSA plus SIRA Accreditation;
  • Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry is highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy are essential qualities for this role;
  • Well-developed time management skills are necessary to manage a diverse caseload;
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance are required.
