Job Title: Culinary Professional

As a skilled Culinary Professional, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch nutrition and education to young children. You will work in a purpose-built service with 88 places, catering to children from 6 weeks to five years old across 5 rooms and 3 outdoor play yards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare healthy and nutritious meals for children, adhering to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  2. Maintain an exceptionally high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining area, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, early childhood regulations, policies, procedures, and work guidelines, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
  4. Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and allergies, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
  5. Manage food stock and ordering effectively, minimizing waste and optimizing resources.

Requirements:

  1. A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is mandatory, demonstrating a strong foundation in culinary safety and compliance.
  2. A Valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain is essential, highlighting a commitment to child protection and well-being.
  3. A certificate in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality is desirable, indicating a passion for ongoing learning and professional development.
