About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Governance and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Boeing Defence Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and respond to emerging security issues.
- Evaluate capability risk/gaps and take action to meet objectives.
- Participate in the evaluation of process effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver sound and timely information security design advice and recommend technological or procedural solutions to meet security control intent in support of engineering projects.
- Investigate and document information security events, identify root causes, prioritize threats, and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in the creation of security policies, audits, and assessments.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Australian Defence Security Principles Framework and associated policies and procedures.
- Understanding of developing and implementing information security practices in an engineering environment.
- Solid written and verbal communications skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts to a broad and diverse audience.
- Sound information security knowledge across various environments, including network connectivity and configuration, Windows and Linux client-server systems, and engineering change management processes.
- Industry-recognized information security qualification is preferable, and/or relevant experience.
Eligibility
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance - The preferred applicant will hold a minimum TOP SECRET NEGATIVE VETTING 1 level and be required to successfully undergo the security clearance vetting process at the TOP SECRET NEGATIVE VETTING 2 level. The preferred applicant MUST be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and MUST have lived in Australia, or have a checkable background, for at least the preceding Five years.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
