Cyber Operations and Security Accreditation Analyst

The opportunity
The Cyber Operations and Security Accreditation Analyst for the Mission Systems and Ground Systems Capability will be supporting the E-7 Programs UK Wedgetail AEW&C program.
To be successful as a Cyber Operations and Security Accreditation Analyst, you should always be expanding your industry knowledge and be able to quickly identify problems. Outstanding Cyber Operations Analysts are accountable, trustworthy, and able to build lasting relationships with their teams.
You will be joining a challenging and dynamic environment, supporting an aircraft platform that defends the UK's interests. The role located in Williamtown, NSW.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitoring and Analysing network traffic and event logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Assist in assessment of security control effectiveness
- Support Incident response activities and post incident analysis
- Assist in developing strategies to detect and prevent cyber-attacks, including working with the IT team to deploy security tools and technologies
- Collaborate with the UK partner and other stakeholders to investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation
- Assist with the support and management of security technologies such as Firewalls and IDS/IPS
- Support security assessments and audits to identify weaknesses and recommend appropriate security measures
- Support the maintenance of Security Accreditation documentation
- Assist the IT and Cyber Team lead, Cyber Operations Lead and Accreditation Leads with their duties as required
Experience/Qualifications
- Relevant or working towards a degree in a cyber related field or demonstrated experience.
- Experience with tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls and vulnerability scanners.
- Familiarisation of Windows and Linux environment.
- Knowledge the Australian Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) is a bonus.
- Knowledge of UK Ministry of Defence and HMG security frameworks would be highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Hold an NV1 clearance.
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (NV1)
