About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Psychiatric Emergency Care team at Latrobe Regional Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide advanced nursing practice and specialist AOD interventions to patients in the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist AOD screening, assessment, treatment, and referral services to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Implement standardised and evidence-based AOD tools to improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver education programs for Emergency Department staff to enhance their capacity to identify and manage AOD-related issues.
  • Collaborate with external AOD providers and services to develop integrated referral pathways and improve patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to meet the 4-hour NEAT for AOD presentations.
  • Develop and implement a secondary AOD consultation program to sub-regional emergency departments across Gippsland.
