About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory and Policy Advisor to play a key role in supporting energy market regulation and compliance processes.

This permanent opportunity is based in Brisbane and offers a flexible work model that includes a mix of working from the office and at home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and share updates on electricity and gas market reforms, ensuring that initiatives are communicated across business areas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external regulatory bodies and government agencies.
  • Communicate changes in regulations, ensuring they are implemented in policies, systems, and processes across the business.
  • Assist in maintaining CleanCo's compliance management system related to energy trading, financial trading, retail, and other commercial activities.
  • Analyse data trends and provide technical guidance to support regulatory and compliance decision-making.
  • Drive efficiency in processes and support the development of regulatory monitoring frameworks, reporting tools, and compliance practices.
About You

To be successful in this opportunity, you will ideally have:

  • Strong research, analytical, and report drafting skills, particularly in regulatory or policy environments.
  • Proven ability to summarise legislation, communicate findings, and manage compliance monitoring using data.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentation.
  • Adaptable, comfortable managing diverse tasks, and not rigidly process-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills, translating complex regulatory information for various stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, law, engineering, finance, or a related STEM field.
  • A passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, contributing to the delivery of a clean energy future crafted in Queensland.
