At Visy, we're committed to powering the circular economy and closing the loop between packaging, recycling, and remanufacturing. As Australia's largest recycler, our extensive network of recycling operations is integrated with our manufacturing sites. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging.

This pivotal role reports to the National Operations Manager and is based at our Wingfield site. You will be responsible for ensuring that the SA & WA business complies with OHS&E, legislation, regulations, and company policy. We welcome internal Visy team members to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, direction, and development to your team.
  • Maintain a safe environment for workers and ensure compliance with environmental responsibilities associated with Visy Recycling's SA & WA operations.
  • Improve existing recycling processes and systems to ensure a safe and quality-driven environment.
  • Maximise profit and cash flow generated in the business with particular emphasis on the management of conversion costs and financial integrity.
  • Manage the transport and logistics functions and maintain ongoing focus and understanding of the challenges associated with exports while ensuring international standards are continually being met.
  • Ensure the development of existing customer and supplier relationships through the creation of new business in a profitable manner, including managing and developing new business acquisitions.
