Marine Worker or Shipwright Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Marine Worker or Shipwright to join our team at Select People. As a key member of our marine service team, you will be responsible for performing sand blasting and spray painting on marine vessels.

This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also need to be flexible and willing to work overtime and weekends when required.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform sand blasting and spray painting (antifoul) on marine vessels.
  • Uphold safety and quality standards in all tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Work flexibly to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with relevant experience in marine work or a painting background. Sand blasting or spray painting experience is desirable, but not essential. A car licence and forklift licence are also highly regarded.

You should have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A current boat license would be an advantage.
