HVAC Technician Responsibilities:

  • Install, connect, calibrate, and repair commercial HVAC systems and components for maximum efficiency.

  • Diagnose and implement effective solutions for electrical and mechanical issues within HVAC systems.

  • Provide technical leadership and on-the-job training to team members to ensure high standards of service are consistently met.

  • Audit and document all service work performed, including uploading pictures and detailed notes for record-keeping and future reference.

  • Deliver reliable and high-performance systems by maintaining quality standards.

  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining service needs, solutions, and recommendations.

  • Oversee complex repairs and installations as needed, ensuring they meet high standards.

  • Collaborate with the office team to identify opportunities and assist in selling preventive maintenance contracts to customers when appropriate.

  • Stay informed about emerging HVAC technologies, new systems, and industry trends through ongoing training, certifications, and professional development.

  • Perform system start-ups, testing, and calibration of newly installed or replaced HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.

HVAC Technician Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, preferably in the commercial sector.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving responsibilities.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
