Job Title: Asset Protection Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Asset Protection Specialist to protect company assets from internal and external theft by observing potential safety and security hazards, investigating threats, and reporting incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor warehouse and perimeter for safety and security concerns to prevent losses and maintain a secure environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and applicable laws related to asset protection duties to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Attend meetings and seminars regarding asset protection to stay updated on the latest techniques and strategies.
  • Report potential internal theft situations to the appropriate authorities and assist in investigations as needed.
  • Participate in shrink committee activities and detain shoplifters when warranted to prevent loss and maintain a safe environment.
  • Prepare reports for internal use and for potential prosecution to provide documentation and evidence.
  • Maintain evidence and report files collected from investigations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with other area asset protection specialists and security personnel to share best practices and coordinate efforts.
Requirements:
  • Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, management, and customers.
Work Environment:

Warehouse environment with rotating roster including weekend work hours between 5am-11pm. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet business needs.
