We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to fill this key role.
This position involves reviewing, verifying and entering medical bills into internal systems with accuracy and precision, ensuring compliance with applicable state fee schedules, payer policies and discount programs.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of medical terminology, billing guidelines and fee schedules, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, great communication skills both written and verbal and prior experience with medical bill review is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and audit medical bills for accuracy and compliance
- Enter billing data into internal systems with speed and precision
- Reference guidelines and documentation to resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate with teams or partners as needed to clarify billing issues
- Maintain productivity and accuracy in line with departmental standards
- Support additional administrative or billing-related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and billing guidelines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Great communication skills
- Prior experience with medical bill review is preferred
