Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role involves leading projects to install and commission instability detection systems for renewable energy power generation machines across Victoria, NSW and Queensland.

The successful candidate will have experience in project commissioning and validation, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Lead projects to install and commission instability detection systems for renewable energy power generation machines across Victoria, NSW and Queensland.
  • Analyse and review performance data of previously installed systems and implement performance improvements based on client feedback and updated requirements.
  • Development and testing of prototypes of new systems in Melbourne Facility.
  • Scope project cost and delivery timeframes to provide accurate client proposals.
  • Review detailed technical drawings to procure necessary equipment and components for each project.
  • Prepare technical documentation such as commissioning test plans and test reports for client and network service provider approval.
  • Travel to remote project sites for installation supervision and system commissioning.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project commissioning and validation.
  • Experience with SEL AcSELerator Software and Omicron Test Universe software is desired but not essential.
  • Strong Python coding skill is desired.
  • Bachelor or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Candidate must have collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as with remote teams in other offices locally and globally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, having the ability to adapt quickly and work to tight deadlines.
