Security Remediation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vulnerability Management Specialist to join our team in Melbourne.
Job DescriptionThis is a 12-month contract role reporting into a Service Delivery Leader, focusing on reducing security breaches through effective vulnerability patching and supporting release and change activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the Service Excellence operating rhythm with the Security team to receive vulnerability scan reports, penetration testing reports, assess remediation criticality, and identify remediation needs.
- Grouping vulnerability fixes into patch changes and releases.
- Collaborating with Service Owners and Vendors to coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements for vulnerability assessment and patching.
- Running regular patch deployment schedules with multiple vendors or various platforms.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in patching, security, and vulnerability remediation within a large complex organisation. You should be a critical thinker able to review reports to determine priority focus areas.
- Infrastructure and application management or coordination experience.
- A focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to create reports, explain progress, and escalate issues.
