We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at SAMTASS SEAFOODS PTY LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and delivery of seafood across Adelaide and regional South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a truck safely and efficiently to collect and deliver seafood products.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate lifting equipment, adhering to all safety requirements.
- Perform regular quality and safety checks on the truck to ensure operational standards are met.
- Estimate and manage load weights to comply with vehicle capacity limitations.
- Verify pickup and delivery documentation, inspect the condition of goods, and check their grade, size, and quality.
- Sort, grade, ice, package, or re-package seafood upon receipt and as needed before delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth and accurate delivery processes.
- A current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's license.
- Ability to manage and maintain energy levels, particularly during the summer peak period.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for coordinating deliveries and handling documentation.
- Proven experience following and enforcing health and safety regulations.
- Self-motivated with strong initiative, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of South Australian fish species, including expertise in identifying quality and grade.
This is a full-time position offering a salary between $75,000 and $85,000, with 11.5% superannuation included. If you are a motivated and experienced Truck Driver looking for a new challenge, please apply with your resume and a cover letter.
