Job Title

As a Strategic Inventory Planner, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by leveraging your analytical skills to optimize inventory levels and improve supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to support procurement and inventory planning decisions.
  • Analyse historical data, market trends, and customer insights to refine planning strategies and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure stock availability aligns with business needs and goals.
  • Monitor and report on stock levels, identifying and addressing potential supply chain disruptions and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand promotions and product launches, ensuring alignment with inventory plans.
  • Review and improve demand planning processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for inventory optimisation and cost reduction through data-driven analysis.
  • Maintain and manage key demand planning tools and systems to ensure seamless execution of inventory management strategies.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in supply chain, logistics, or a related field, such as an MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in demand planning within the industrial and manufacturing sector, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to think critically.
  • Proficiency in demand planning tools and ERP systems, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and build strong relationships.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to organisational growth.
  • A strong understanding of inventory management principles, supply chain operations, and industry trends.
